As part of the BRABENDER logistic suite or as a link to subcontractors, the app brings vital information directly to the driver's smartphone and sends back key data relevant to the transport process.

Drivers can fully rely on the app's guidance. It's their daily companion, minimizing errors and reducing stress. At every step, job- and tour-related data can be exchanged with the BRABENDER logistic suite. Not only drivers but also dispatchers, fleet managers, and all other stakeholders in the transport process have immediate access to the captured information. A multitude of workflow-based functions ensures tasks are completed accurately and swiftly, even when dealing with customer-specific processes, events, and information.

Numerous Features Simplify Drivers' Daily Tasks
The app is available for Android and iOS and can be used on any smartphone or tablet, regardless of the operating system, including by subcontractor drivers. It transmits documents and information related to the driver, vehicle, tour, job, or customer directly into the BRABENDER logistic suite. Key features include:

  • Photo Capture: Image files are stored per job and tour, saving time. Deliveries, damages, and load securing become more straightforward.

  • Document Scanning: Scan documents in full or in parts, edit if necessary, and transfer them as PDFs into the system.

  • Status Recording: List selections for the driver, tailored to the workflow. Feedback on loading equipment, such as "okay" or "damaged," is simplified.

  • Ad-hoc Scanning: Capture text fields using a scanner or smartphone camera, eliminating tedious data reconciliation, e.g., for job references or swap body designations.

  • Checklists: Drivers navigate processes confidently. Workflows are created using field types like date, time, numerical values, free text fields, lists, or yes/no queries, including mandatory fields.

  • Events: Integrated per job or customer, they control, for example, the recording of timestamps, geolocation logging, automatic transmission via geofencing, or damage reporting.

  • Communication: Chat function, contact list, and integrated translation feature for menu and tour instructions.

Execute Jobs Without Errors
The app serves as the driver's daily companion. At the start of the tour, it provides all relevant information, including helpful tips to facilitate arrival, and connects with the navigation system. Before and during the tour, checklists guide the driver safely through vehicle or material inspections and all other processes that arise during transport. With if-then workflows, the driver can navigate deviations confidently. All information captured during the tour is immediately and transparently stored in the system, linked to the customer and job, and is accessible to all stakeholders. This includes recorded statuses, customer-specific timestamps, and digital signatures compliant with #SHA256.

Continuous Introduction of New App Features
Recent and upcoming developments of the app include autonomous job and tour compilation, allowing drivers to assign tours and jobs to themselves via the Driver Companion App, as well as situation-based tour adjustments, such as returning to the depot upon delivery refusal or planning a re-approach within the tour. Additional features encompass the display of working, driving, and rest times, simplified monitoring and control of trailers (e.g., tire pressure warnings or cooling control), administrative tasks like expense tracking and vacation requests, map-based display of available rest and parking areas, and the app serving as a frontend for BRABENDER mobile-device Ev6 Blackboxes.
